- Luyện nghe theo hai giáo trình:
Streamline English, New American Streamline.
- Công cụ học từ vựng hàng ngày (Vocabulary Study).

Bộ từ điển của English Study 4.1 rất phong phú. Với 7 từ điển, bạn tha hồ tra cứu. Tùy từng chế độ cài đặt, bạn có thể tra các từ điển mà không cần CD trong ổ đọc: Từ điển Anh - Việt với khoảng 140.000 từ có phát âm với nhiều hình ảnh minh họa; Việt - Anh với hơn 90.000 mục từ; đồng nghĩa và phản nghĩa; phân loại từ (lexicon Dictionary); cách dùng từ (Word Usage Dictionary); tiếp đầu ngữ (Prefixes Dictionary); tiếp vĩ ngữ (Suffixes Dictionary).
Sau khi cài đặt, biểu tượng của phần mềm sẽ xuất hiện trên taskbar. Bạn có thể tắt biểu tượng này, nhưng khi đó bạn sẽ không thể tra được từ điển trong các ứng dụng khác.
Tiếc là có một thiếu sót nhỏ về mặt kỹ thuật trong quá trình cài đặt: Bạn phải tự chép file ISSYSTEM.DLL trong thư mục SYSTEM trên CD vào thư mục C:\Windows\System hoặc C:\Windows\System32 trong máy. Điều này được nhà sản xuất lưu ý trong tài liệu hướng dẫn sử dụng.
Đĩa CD ảo cho English Study 4
Em cài chương trình English Study 4 trên đĩa CD thành công và có tạo đĩa CD ảo cho đĩa này, nhưng khi chạy ES thì chương trình vẫn yêu cầu phải đưa đĩa CD vào, mặc dù em đã bỏ đĩa CD ảo vào ổ ảo bằng chương trình Virtual Drive 7?
Trả lời: Để mỗi lần sử dụng English Study 4 mà không phải bỏ đĩa CD vào, có hai cách thực hiện:
- Dùng đĩa CD ảo: Sau khi đã cài đặt thành công (phải đăng ký số Serial), nhấp phải trên biểu tượng English Station chọn Configuration, ở thẻ Installation chọn ký tự tên ổ đĩa ảo trên máy tại mục English Study CD-ROM drive, nhấn OK.
- Hoặc copy tất cả các thư mục American, Data, English, System trong CD vào thư mục cài đặt ES 4. Sau đó vào Regedit, đến thẻ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\English Study\Applications. Tìm DataDir ở cửa sổ bên phải rồi gõ lại đường dẫn của thư mục mà bạn cài đặt ES 4, đóng Regedit lại.
